Why We Chose Adoption About our
feelings Due to a very complicated birth-process of our son, a second biologically born child was medically impossible. However, our feelings to have one more child –a brother or sister for Boudewijn- were so strong that, we choose adoption to complete our wishes and try to complete our family. We would enjoy it intensely if we are able to offer your child an intact loving home and a sweet brother. By that we mean a place where children feel sheltered and protected, where their questions are answered, and where they learn how living together is meant to be. Also where they discover their limitations and their capabilities. We are convinced that we –like we do for our 5 year old son- can offer your child a home of this kind. Another aspect which seems very important to us is the feeling of belonging together which should prevail in a family. Living together and experiencing everything together means in our view , accumulating experiences , gathering knowledge, discussing problems though to the end and also solving them, and sharing with one another all of life’s joys and sorrows. We want to guide our children so
that they become caring, confident, happy
and responsible
adults, and can follow their dreams. We
intend to tell your child at an early age that he or she was adopted,
and that their
birth parents made a difficult but unselfish decision.
We hope that from
this letter you can learn a little about our
life, our past, and also our future. It would give us great pleasure
and make
us very happy if you were to entrust your child to us. We are ready to
